Most of us believe in this quote as it is so convenient and grant us social approval from all those pseudo-environment lovers. “Nuclear”, This word seems like a monster. Like even if we bring this out of our mouth it will eat you up or if we think about it, our skull will explode. But how many of us actually tried knowing this technology? Are we mixing a nuclear bomb and nuclear energy? Aren't’ we over reacting to a technology which possibly is the safest and can put us in category of advanced nation in coming years? All these questions never striked me until I got a chance to visit Tarapur Nuclear Power Plant.
I was mesmerised by the maintenance and security measures taken care of by these people. Around the plant, I could only see greenery and cleanliness. What astonished me was the fact that this Nuclear power is safest and most cost effective resource in India. We read all wrong things about Nuclear Power in newspapers but possibly that is our naïve thinking which is still abstaining us from growing big. With limited fossil fuel available in our country, Nuclear power has potential to meet our short term and long term  needs effectively. There  are extra safety measures taken by NPCIL and till date there was no  injury occurred due to radioactivity to any member in public Nuclear power can bring boom in food industry, Medicine, export industry and agriculture and can increase productivity on large scale. I found it safest and productive for our nation. NPCIL is running many campaigns in villages and different areas to spread awareness and break myths attached to nuclear power. Still, I feel Media should be more responsible and shall focus on bringing out facts (what people ought to know) than creating NEWS (what people want to know). I with many others, who visited the plant, had this once in lifetime Eye-opener experience and I pledge to turn our Naïve Janta into Nuclear
