“Being a scientist and science communicator, I feel very sad when I hear from the people of high intellect that nuclear power plant emits lots of radiation to environment. I would urge those people to visit any of Indian Nuclear Power Plants at least once before propagating the misconception. In fact none of the industry in the whole world is safer than nuclear industry. India needs power, which can only achieve with judicious mix of energy.  Nuclear energy is cleanest source of electricity production and India is showered with lots of Thorium reserves which will transform the entire scenario. Let us pledge to dispel myths and apprehensions from the mind of common people about nuclear power.”
